VADO expands investment portfolio with acquisitions Dutch Thermal Engineering and Slagman Groep
Eindhoven, 25 April 2024 – VADO has recently expanded its portfolio of technology companies with two new companies: Dutch Thermal Engineering and Slagman Group. The two acquisitions are an excellent fit with two of the three VADO investment themes Energy & Energy transition and Hightech & Semicon.
Dutch Thermal Engineering (DTE) specializes in developing and producing customer-specific installations and solutions in the field of industrial temperature control.
For example, DTE supplies robust (stainless steel) and low-maintenance cooling and heating equipment for critical processes in Food, Semicon and Medical. With a worldwide supply of its industrial cooling, heating and tempering equipment to machine builders in various industries, DTE is a leading player in its field.
Slagman Groep focuses on complex mechanical operations (including laser welding) and the design and complete manufacturing of complex frames, modules and machines. Slagman specializes in Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) and the ability to quickly design and produce prototypes. Furthermore, the company has high-quality facilities for quality control and assurance. With its highly specialized activities, Slagman fits perfectly into the group of high-quality high-tech companies that combine their competencies in the field of complex mechanical machining under Anvil Industries.

Dutch Thermal Engineering (DTE) specialises in developing and manufacturing customer-specific installations and solutions in the field of industrial temperature control.
Founded in 1984 as a trading company in air ducts, DTE has developed into a leading global supplier for OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) in various industries such as the packaging and food industry, biogas plants, graphics, plastics and welding industry, shipping and offshore. DTE is strong in customer-specific solutions requiring robust quality (stainless steel versions) and special customisation and is equipped to produce them in any size and desired volume. The company develops and produces cooling, heating and tempering installations from 1 to 2000 kW. Slagman, based in Doetinchem, has versatile production facilities allowing it to design and manufacture single pieces and small series of products with high complexity in terms of shape, material and tolerances in-house. This enables Slagman to carry out modifications or produce prototypes and zero series very quickly. This ensures that customers are able to validate and modify their designs before proceeding to large-scale production.
