VADO has recently expanded its portfolio of technology companies with two new companies: Dutch Thermal Engineering and Slagman Group. The two acquisitions are an excellent fit with the focus areas Energy & Energy Transition and Hightech & Semicon. Dutch Thermal Engineering (DTE) specializes in developing and producing customer-specific installations and solutions in the field of industrial temperature control. Slagman Groep focuses on complex mechanical operations (including laser welding) and the design and complete manufacturing of complex frames, modules and machines.

Anvil Industries acquires Machinefabriek De Valk from Valkenswaard. De Valk specialises in the flexible, quick production of mechanical components. For example, prototypes and rush orders (QRM). In addition, De Valk has developed into a specialist which can print and finish complex products in stainless steel, aluminium or titanium (additive manufacturing). With the acquisition of De Valk, Anvil Industries has added the specialty of 3D metal printing to its technological competencies.

VADO expands its position in mechanical engineering for the food industry with the acquisition of Orangeworks. Orangeworks develops and produces high-quality process installations and production equipment for numerous renowned FMCG producers worldwide. Orangeworks has grown in recent decades into a high-quality supplier of process technology and industrial automation for market leaders in the chocolate and confectionary industry.

VADO portfolio company Rendon Onderhoudsgroep will become part of branch peer Caspar de Haan. In this way, both regionally strongly-rooted family businesses can respond even better to the complex and growing market demand of clients for further enhancing the sustainability and maintenance of their properties.

Injection moulding company Pekago Covering Technology, portfolio company of VADO, has acquired the Belgian injection moulding company NeaForma. Since early 2000, NeaForma, with locations in Belgium and Slovakia, has been producing large compact injection moulding parts, thermoplastic injection moulding (TSG) parts and parts made of polyurethane for the medical and technical markets.

Bato Plastics acquires industry peer Tomatenhakenwikkelbedrijf van den Wijngaart (TvdW) from Galder. TvdW is a leading company in the field of wound tomato hooks custom-made for customers with a production of approximately 30 million tomato hooks annually. The wound hooks are used by national and international companies active in tomato cultivation. TvdW produces high wire hooks that are primarily used for tomato cultivation. Bato is delighted with this takeover and will now be able to offer its customers an even more complete range of horticultural products.
