Fuel system specialist Diesel Büchli takes over importer Romotech

Eindhoven, May 17, 2021 – Fuel system specialist Diesel Büchli, a company of investment company VADO, takes over Romotech from Papendrecht. Romotech is the Dutch importer/distributor of Lombardini / Kohler engines for marine and industrial applications. Diesel Büchli is a specialist in the field of diesel injection systems and supplies components such as fuel pumps, injectors and particulate filters and provides aftermarket services.

With the purchase of Romotech, Diesel Büchli is expanding its product portfolio and can support its customers in a broader field. For Romotech, the acquisition means a significant expansion of the available expertise in the area of high-quality diesel technology and, with VADO, a solid investment company is behind the company to enable further growth. Romotech will be continued in unchanged form and under the current name and management.

Hans Gerrits, managing director Diesel Büchli, sees important advantages in the combination of the two companies. “Diesel Büchli is best known for its expertise in diesel injection systems, but also focuses on petrol injectors and pumps. Increasing attention is also being paid to systems that reduce emissions such as NOx and soot particles. Thanks to the takeover of Romotech, Diesel Büchli can now take the next step in its development as a fuel system specialist, whereby it can increasingly focus on optimising the entire engine system”.

For Leo Versteeg, managing director of Romotech, the close cooperation with Diesel Büchli is very valuable. “The latest generation of common rail diesel engines from Kohler meet the new, increasingly stringent, European engine emission standards (Stage-V) and require a completely different approach in terms of installation and maintenance, diagnosis and repair. This high-quality diesel technology requires surgical precision and expert knowledge in the area of repair and diagnosis. In this respect, too, the knowledge of both companies is an important complement to each other,’ says Versteeg.
