VADO acquires the High-tech Systems division of Mecal
Eindhoven, July 27th 2021, Eindhoven based investment company VADO Beheer has acquired the high-tech division of Mecal BV. Mecal High-tech Systems is a specialised company in engineering and product development in the semiconductor industry. Next to that, Mecal High-tech Systems produces its own platforms for vibration reduction platforms to enable production with extreme precision.
VADO is a long term investor that focusses on promising companies in manufacturing industries and has a number of investments and participations in the semiconductor industries. Together, these companies have the capabilities to deliver an integrated and broad range of competencies to the highly demanding customers. Mecal High-tech Systems is very complementary to these companies.
Mecal was founded in 1989, and the High-tech Systems division has evolved into a global business with a strong position in high-tech markets as semiconductor, nanotechnologies and medical. The company is a co-developer to its high-end customer base in design and specification stages, as well as in prototyping and series production. Mecal High-tech Systems will remain autonomous and will continue to build the company together with the current management.
